Dreaming of those summer nights at the campsite? They’re almost here, and Whiteshell campgrounds should definitely be at the top of your summer plans!
How to Reserve a Campsite

The Manitoba Parks Reservation Service will open in April:
- Monday, April 13: Cabins, yurts and group use areas.
- Tuesday, April 14: Birds Hill, Grand Beach and Winnipeg Beach campgrounds
- Wednesday, April 15: Whiteshell campgrounds
- Thursday, April 16: Northern and western region campgrounds
- Friday, April 17: All remaining campgrounds
There are three ways to reserve a campsite:
- Online: Reserve online at manitoba.goingtocamp.com.
- In-person: Visit 1181 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Phone: 1-888-4U2-CAMP (1-888-482-2267). If you’re outside of North America, call 1-204-948-3333.

Nutimik Yurts

Nutimik Yurts bring you close to the outdoors with some extra luxury. Inside, you’ll find rustic log furniture, including a mix of beds, a futon, table, chairs, and storage. Outside, you have a fire pit for cooking and evenings under the trees. Some yurts are pet-friendly for cats and dogs, and each site has space for parking plus a small tent if you need a little extra room.
North Whiteshell Campgrounds

Otter Falls Campground
Set along Margaret Lake in the park’s northern end, this campground is a charming site for your camping adventure. wheelchair access sites
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern and non-modern), pay showers, a trailer sanitary station, fish cleaning station, boat launch, boardwalk dock, playground, and an unsupervised swimming area. Across the street from the campground are a baseball diamond and a volleyball court.
Opapiskaw Campground
At Opapiskaw, mornings are for coffee by the water, afternoons for exploring trails, and evenings for fireside stories that linger long after the sparks fade.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, group camping, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), pay showers, a trailer sanitary station, fish cleaning station, boat launch, boat tie-up, picnic area & shelter, unsupervised swimming areas, and two playgrounds.
Nutimik Lake Campground
Nutimik, Cree for “up the river,” invites you to hike, paddle, and explore a playground of lakes and trails. Every day brings a new view, a new story, and a chance to make memories.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), pay showers, a trailer sanitary station, fish cleaning station, boat launch, picnic area, unsupervised swimming area, playground, and volleyball. On-site is the trailhead for the Sturgeon Falls Trail.
Betula Lake Campground
Paddle, hike, or lounge by the shore, Betula gives you room to do it all or nothing at all, with the water and trees as your backdrop.
Amenities include: electrical & non-electrical sites, group camping, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), pay showers, fish cleaning station, boardwalk dock, picnic shelters, unsupervised swimming area, playground, baseball diamond. On-site is the trailhead for Forester’s Footsteps Trail.

Central Whiteshell Campgrounds

White Lake Campground
From quiet mornings by the lake to afternoons spent at Rainbow Falls, White Lake Campground makes it easy to settle into the moment.
Amenities include: Unserviced sites, group camping, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), pay showers, fish cleaning station, boat launch, picnic area & shelters, playground, basketball court, and volleyball. Close by is the trailhead for Rainbow Falls.
Notes:
- The Island Tenting Area converts to group use on May 18, 2026, to June 18, 2026, then converts back to nightly camping.
- The Hill Group Use Area stays open for group reservations until September 4, 2026. The group use area cannot be reserved on long weekends.
Big Whiteshell Lake Campground
Big Whiteshell Lake is known for its fishing, but it’s the easy pace that keeps people coming back.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), pay showers, trailer sanitary station, boat launch, boat tie-up, fish cleaning station, unsupervised swimming area, picnic areas & shelters, and playgrounds. Across the street is a tennis court.
Note: The Mantario Trail will remain closed into summer 2026 as a significant amount of work and clean up is required to remove safety risks in fire damaged areas and overgrowth in areas not impacted by wildfires.
Brereton Lake Campground
Brereton brings that easy campground feel where nature surrounds you, and the only thing to do is relax and soak it all up.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), boat launch, trailer sanitary station, kitchen shelter, horseshoe pit, tennis court, playground, unsupervised swimming area, fish cleaning station, and basketball court.

South Whiteshell Campgrounds

Caddy Lake Campground
Caddy Lake isn’t just a campsite; it’s a gateway to winding tunnels, calm waters, and stories you’ll tell long after the day ends.
Amenities include: Unserviced sites, group camping, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), trailer sanitary station, boat launch, boat tie-up, unsupervised swimming area, playground, fish cleaning station, and picnic area & shelter.

West Hawk Lake Campground
West Hawk drops you right beside a story millions of years in the making. Formed by a meteor, very paddle, hike, or late-night campfire here lets you add your own chapter to its long history.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, group camping, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern & non-modern), picnic area & shelter, Playground, marina, unsupervised swimming area, change, house, and tennis court. Crescent Beach is also located right beside the campground, which is a popular spot for scuba diving. The boat launch is located on the other side of the beach.
Note: Section F – Site 4 to 9 are used for Group Use from Monday of the May Long Weekend to June 19, 2026.
Falcon Lake Beach Campground
Falcon Lake Beach Campground makes it easy to jump into lake adventures, stroll local trails, grab a bite in town, and enjoy all your favourite camping activities.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern), pay showers, WiFi hotspots, picnic shelter, playground, and change room. Falcon Beach is a short walk away and includes a dog-friendly section, so even your pup can enjoy a beach day. The start of the Marsh Trail is also located right by the campground.
Falcon Lake Lakeshore Campground
Falcon Lakeshore greets you with that perfect mix of forest, water, and community energy. Set right beside the lake and steps from services and adventures, you have easy access to everything you would need for an incredible camping trip.
Amenities include: Serviced & unserviced sites, group camping, wheelchair access sites, water supply, washrooms (modern), pay showers, picnic shelter, unsupervised swimming area, and playground.
Note: Bay 5 is used for Group Use from Monday of the May Long Weekend to June 19, 2026.
